Position Description

Grow UCC Coffee’s out of home business, by developing existing accounts and sourcing new regional clients, providing clear communication and customer management at all times. Responsible for selling and promoting the UCC portfolio of products to achieve set KPI targets, by identifying and securing both long term and short-term business opportunities, whilst maintaining coffee quality and customer focused service.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase coffee, equipment and service business across groupings and mini multiples in channels such as horeca, vending, leisure, hospitality, pub chains, and others

  • Management of existing customer base and securing significant new regional groups

  • Account management of machine and service only customers, to maximise revenue potential, in addition to other tasks, such as query handling

  • Capture sales opportunities of new & refurbished machines, as additional or upgraded kit

  • Maximise coffee, equipment and product sales, through developing relationships with key customers and prospecting for new clients by networking, cold calling and presentations

  • Respond quickly to all in-coming sales enquires and follow through within agreed customer timeframes; ensuring all quotations are accurate and according to agreed pricing & margins

  • Accurately complete & process required customer paperwork, and undertake administrative tasks and duties, to enable the team to reach its monthly, quarterly and annual targets

  • Assist with new site openings, site launch days, installs and promotional activity as required

  • Develop and execute new business development plan within assigned channel or channels

  • Report on & use sales statistics analysis, to determine profitable business growth potential

  • Monitor and review customer trading and regional performance, to up-sell effectively

  • Constantly promote the UCC brand in a customer friendly and professional manner

  • Familiarise yourself with the activity and products of our competitors and the marketplace, using this information to report to line manager, team and wherever appropriate internally

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in the coffee industry (desirable)

  • Exceptional customer relationship skills which has led to business growth

  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise own diary & workload, to meet deadlines

  • Self-motivated, confident & inspiring individual, with a track record of winning new business

  • Fluid presenter with the ability to communicate strategies and solutions at all levels
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude

  • Flexible approach to work, location and hours

Salary: up to £40k + Bonus + Company Car + 25 days holiday + other Company benefits.
