The Lead Healthcare Technician is responsible for the onsite installation of work, to efficiently complete a project by effectively following directions and communicating progress and concerns. He/She will support the Project Manager and Foreman in project coordination and completion. The Lead Healthcare Technician may lead and train new Technicians and Apprentices and delegate duties accordingly. He/She also makes decisions and solves problems, monitors processes and materials, and evaluates projects to ensure conformity to industry standards and customer specifications.


Skills & Abilities:
Ability to follow federal and state safety regulations and immediately report incidents and deficiencies

Ability to interpret, illustrate, and apply regulation codes and rules.

Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, drawings, and work orders.

Effectiveness in prioritizing assigned duties and evaluating work progress.

Ability to use and maintain various tools e.g., power, hand and meters specific to the trade

Ability to hear, read, and speak English in order to communicate with internal and external customers.
 

Responsibilities

Complies with appropriate safety practices and procedures with applicable federal, State and local codes, regulations and requirements. Conducts safety training according to company quarterly requirements and to meet General Contractors specifications.

Provides direct feedback and training to Technicians and Apprentices as assigned. Offers suggestions for performance evaluation(s) to build the skills and knowledge of subordinates.

Maintains tickets and records in a timely manner in ConnectWise. Recognizes and reports quality issues through the appropriate channels as they arise. Generates and manages documentation and quality reports including procedures.

Takes the lead on projects and is accountable for project profitability. Carries out diverse skilled activities involving the installation of equipment; designates and monitors the work of subordinates in order to achieve the completion of tasks in relation to projects.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to make repetitive substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

Ability to work in outdoor/indoor environmental conditions

Move/Transport/Install/Remove items weighing 50+ pounds

Ascend/Descend and work at heights above 6 feet

Ability to drive for 2+ hours

Ability to walk, drive, bend, stoop, hear, and speak

Position Requirements

Require Degree/Diploma: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Degree/Diploma: Bachelors in Electronics

Required Years of Experience: 3+ Low Voltage System Installation

Preferred Certification: NICET II & California Fire Life Safety Technician
