The Fire Large Projects Onsite Project Manager (OSPM) is responsible for providing onsite/remote management of a project's planning, executing, and finalizing of the project according to strict deadlines within budget. He/She is responsible for proper management of personnel, materials, project documentation, acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver per project guidelines. The Fire Large Projects OSPM will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to hear, read, and speak English in order to communicate with internal and external customers.
Performs complex and confidential functions as identified and needed per Division/Department guidelines.
Reviews and understands construction contracts and conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with scope of work and plans.
Interprets specifications and company policies to subordinates and/or contractors and enforces safety regulations. Analyzes and resolves work problems, including worker complaints and grievances.
Coaches, mentors, motivates, and supervises project team members and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises and devises contingency plans as needed, conducts project punch list, and creates recommendation report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
Remains knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in his/her specified field of expertise.
Assists sales team with project planning/estimating. Reviews estimates and proposals for project accuracy and assists with the development and growth of business relationships vital to the success of the company and or project.
Reviews all project documentation and develops full-scale project plans to estimate resource allocations and to achieve project goals.
Tracks and identifies budget changes throughout the life of the project. Submits change orders, and WIP adjustments on a timely basis for the projects financial health. Understands and submits project billings timely and according to project completion or customer time frames.
Manages assigned Project Board and ensures all project and ticket statuses are updated and accurate. Uses project tickets to maintain and record all team and customer communication. Uploads all project documentation timely to ConnectWise so that it can be accessed remotely and as needed by Management.
Completes all project sign offs, ensures that project has met TRL standards, walks job with the customer to obtain system hand-off approvals. Submits all project close out documentation timely and ensures project close outs are completed as needed to begin warranty period of project.
