Position Description

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for Saint Francis Healthcare System's over-all financial plans and policies along with administration of its accounting practices. Directs investments, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, real estate, and insurance activities for the institution. Serves as the Medical Center's Corporate Compliance Officer.

Core Responsibilities:


Acts as liaison - Acts as a liaison between the Board of Finance Committee and the Investment manager.

Serves as advisor - Serves as an advisor to the executive staff and management team with regard to Finance and Corporate Compliance issues.

Coordinates the various properties - Coordinates the various properties and where appropriate their outside tenants.

Budget - Coordinates the budgeting process

Develop goals - Works with supervised areas to develop goals and objectives, and establish and implement policies and procedures.

Compliance - Directs the Corporate Compliance program for the institution. Monitors for compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Position Requirements

Educational Requirements: Bachelors of Science in Accounting required; CPA and/or MBA preferred

Additional Skills & Experience Requirements: 8 plus years directly in the hospital accounting/auditing field.
