Position Description

Under the direct supervision of the Health and Wellness Manager, the Locker Room Attendant is responsible for locker room cleanliness, preventive maintenance, policy enforcement, supply inventory/disbursement and member customer service.

Preventative maintenance - Administers the locker room daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance and cleaning schedule so as to always present locker room and restrooms that are dirt, dust, mildew and clutter free.

Policies and procedures - Remains knowledgeable and proficient in all club rules, regulations and policies and enforces when applicable.

Inventory - Keeps an accurate inventory of locker room supplies (towels, soap, shampoo), notifies supervisor and/or laundry when to order supplies and disperses supplies so they are always available to members.

Towels - Maintains stock of towels at distribution sites (Front Desk and Service Desk) at all times. Ensure towel drop spots are emptied and kept in an orderly fashion as needed throughout the shift.

Maintenance - Inspects, replaces, cleans and/or reports to maintenance all applicable equipment, facilities and hardware which is malfunctioning or in need of special attention (light bulbs, shower curtains, shower/wet area fixtures and furnishings, lockers, etc.).

Position Requirements

High School Diploma

Certification/License Title:  
CPR certified within 45 days of employment.

Additional Skills and/or Knowledge Required:
Must be capable of performing hands on cleaning and maintenance related tasks. Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Ability to work variable hours necessary. Possess a professional attitude and appearance. Must be capable of maintaining positive ongoing communications. Health club experience preferred.
