Position Description

Provides patient care following established standards and practices in collaboration with physician and other healthcare providers.  Performs comprehensive and problem focused histories and physical examinations. Obtain complete medical history and physical information on patients. Records diagnostic impressions and evaluates situations calling for attention of a physician to institute treatment procedures. 


Position Requirements

Educational Requirements:

Nurse Practitioner
Graduate from accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program.

Physician Assistant
Graduate of a Committee on Allied Health and Accreditation (CAHEA) or successor accredited program.

Certification/License Title:

Nurse Practitioner
CPR Certification
Current license as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Nurse by the State of Missouri.

Physician Assistant
CPR Certification
Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Missouri

Additional Skills & Experience:
Three years experience as an advanced practice provider preferred. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment. Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public. Ability to maintain quality control standards and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations. Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions. Ability to learn and efficiently utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs.
