Position Description

The Operating Room Manager is a Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible for the clinical leadership role. Assumes first line managerial responsibilities and reports directly to the Director. Is responsible and accountable for the delivery of care, development of policies and procedures, standards of care and protocols. Assigns, directs, and evaluates the work of the health care providers assigned to a specific area in accordance with the policies, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of Saint Francis Medical Center. Provides strong leadership, motivation, staff development, serves as a resources consultant for their clinical speciality, and works to achieve continuity of care from admission through discharge. With the approval of the Nursing practice committee, the individual has authority for Standards of Practice for the specific clinical area.
 

Position Requirements

Educational Requirements:
Associates degree in Nursing required, bachelors degree preferred

Certification/License Title:
Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri required
CPR Certification

Additional Skills & Experience Requirements:
Experience and evidence of clinical competencies for acceptance into role. Managerial experience preferred.
