Position Description
Nash UNC Health Care is looking for talented a full-time Pharmacy Medication History Technician to join our Pharmacy team!

The Pharmacy Medication History Technician will have the following experience and qualities:

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to display a positive attitude and enjoy interacting with patients
• Strong computer skills, ability to perform timely data entry, & navigate an EMR
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills

This position will report to the Pharmacy Manager and will work primary in the Emergency Department (ED). Responsibilities will include performing medication reconciliation for patients who come to the ED. The person in this role will work with the onsite Pharmacist regarding discrepancies between the patient problem list, medications from home list, and medication list in the electronic medical record (EMR.)

This position requires minimal travel for EMR training.
Position Requirements
At a minimum, successful candidates will have a high school diploma (or GED) and a minimum of one (1) year of retail pharmacy experience. Must possess current CPhT certification.

Two (2) or more years of pharmacy retail experience, or prior experience in an Emergency Department is strongly preferred.

Schedule: This position works 9am – 7:30pm, 7 days on / 7 days off schedule


Salary range: $12.18 - $18.03
