Position Description

Nash UNC Health Care is looking for talented individuals to join our Emergency Department (ED) as a Clinical Nurse II!  The Clinical Nurse II will have the following experience and qualities:

  • Ability to display a positive team player attitude
  • Ability to promote positive patient advocacy
  • Ability to provide compassionate patient care

This position will report to the Unit Nurse Manager, and responsibilities will focus on performing patient assessments and analyzing data to determine the diagnosis or issues, identifying expected outcomes, formulating and documenting an individual care plan, and administering medications, treatments, and therapies. 

Position Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an approved nursing program with a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.  Eligible candidates have at least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a  Emergency Room.  The ideal candidate will have or obtain the following certifications within 1 year:  BCLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, & NIHSS.

This position does require less than 25% of travel for EMR training.

 

This is a PRN position. Minimum of 3 shifts every 6 weeks, plus 1 holiday shifts per year (if needed) are required. 

 

Rate of Pay:  $31.00/hr, plus shift differentials

3p-11p differential: $2.50/hr

11p-7a differential: $4.50/hr

Weekend differential: $10.00/hr (Friday 7p- Monday 7a)

 


Applicants hired into a PRN position must be able to attend five (5) full-days of orientation.
