Position Description
Nash UNC Health Care is looking for talented a talented, part-time, Oncology Nurse Navigator to join our team at the Danny Talbot Cancer Center!

The Oncology Nurse Navigator will have the following experience and qualities:

• Excellent communication skills to include presenting to large and small groups in an educational setting
• Ability to display a positive attitude and empathy working with patients
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills

This position will report to the Director of Cancer Care, and responsibilities will include utilizing nursing skills to assess and meet the needs of cancer patients by providing care coordination through the cancer continuum. This position serves as a liaison between patients, families, caregivers, and the healthcare delivery system to optimize patient outcomes while reducing barriers to care.

This position requires minimal travel for EMR training.
Position Requirements

At a minimum, successful candidates will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), BCLS certification, and a minimum of three (3) years of RN experience in an acute care setting.

Candidates who have a MSN and/or prior experience working with oncology patients is strongly preferred.

Schedule:  This is a part-time (.5 FTE) benefits-eligible position. Approximate hours will be 20 per week, day shift, Monday - Friday. This position will be one half of a job-share. As such, an official schedule will be agreed upon by the current employee and the selected candidate.

Salary range: $31.25 - $45.67
