Cambridge Systematics, Inc. has been actively involved in Commercial Vehicle Operations and Freight Safety for over two decades. Our current efforts are focused heavily in the area of truck parking, an area of growing national importance. Our work involves need assessments, development of concepts to improve capacity and/or availability, matching current and future technologies to areas of need and building truck parking action plans for state and local clients. These efforts intersect with other efforts in freight safety, such as investments in vehicle inspection infrastructure and intelligent technology deployment to share carrier safety information between states.
We are looking to add a Truck Parking Intern to the team in Chicago. The Truck Parking Intern works with, and reports to, a Junior Staff Manager who determines a set of project assignments to support educational goals while also supporting client needs. The Truck Parking Intern will conduct assignments under the general supervision of a Project Manager. S/he handles assignments of a quantitative and qualitative nature; learns to use, understand, and appropriately apply new technical tools.
