Cambridge Systematics, Inc. is shaping the future of transportation. We are industry leaders, transportation specialists dedicated to ensuring that transportation investments can deliver the best possible results. Above all, we are committed to our clients’ success in making transportation better for future generations.

The Integrated Planning & Policy group provides fully integrated planning and management as well as project development services for our clients. The newly restructured group encompasses four national practice areas: Planning and Policy, Freight and Economics, Safety and Transit and Shared Mobility. We apply our national knowledge and leadership while leveraging the strength of regional expertise to bring experience from across the country and extensive Federal level to intimate understanding of our clients’ needs.

Cambridge Systematics, Inc. has been actively involved in Commercial Vehicle Operations and Freight Safety for over two decades. Our current efforts are focused heavily in the area of truck parking, an area of growing national importance. Our work involves need assessments, development of concepts to improve capacity and/or availability, matching current and future technologies to areas of need and building truck parking action plans for state and local clients. These efforts intersect with other efforts in freight safety, such as investments in vehicle inspection infrastructure and intelligent technology deployment to share carrier safety information between states.

We are looking to add a Truck Parking Intern to the team in Chicago.  The Truck Parking Intern works with, and reports to, a Junior Staff Manager who determines a set of project assignments to support educational goals while also supporting client needs.
