The Contracts Group is part of the Corporate Services team. We work collaboratively with the other corporate services groups and all of the business lines. The Group’s responsibilities include: reviewing and providing comments on requests for proposals, preparing and negotiating contracts for our projects and initiating and maintaining records pertaining to the company’s project work. Our goal is to provide exceptional service to our internal and external clients.

We are looking to add a part-time Contracts Staff Attorney to our team in Chicago, IL.  The Contracts Staff Attorney is responsible for reviewing and commenting on RFPs. In addition, this individual is also responsible for negotiating client and subcontract agreements and contracts to support other corporate services functions. The Contracts Staff Attorney will report to the Director of Contracts.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

RFP Review and Preparation
•Responsible for RFP review
•Provides comments to proposal managers and project managers
•Prepares questions and exceptions for submittal to the client and the prime contractor

Post Award Contract Review and Negotiation
•Reviews and negotiates contracts post award for clients and prime contractors

Support to other Corporate Services Groups
•Reviews and negotiates contracts as required to support functions of other Corporate Services groups


Position Requirements

J.D. required with Illinois law license in good standing
1-3 years of experience in a corporate legal setting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe
Ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks accurately and efficiently
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility
Ability to work independently and part of a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
