Position Summary

The Analyst, Client Risk Management (1-Year Fixed Term) will play a key role in the continuing development of the risk management function for AIMCo’s Clients. As part of the Risk Management division, the Client Risk Management (CRM) department has the goal of helping AIMCo’s Clients manage the risks in achieving their investment objectives. Drawing on your industry experience, knowledge of best practices, understanding of investment risks across asset classes, and asset-liability management, you will develop successful partnerships to support Clients with their risk management process in the pursuit of achieving their objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • You will assist in developing, implementing and maintaining a risk framework for Clients.
  • You will take ownership of client risk reporting and optimize existing processes.
  • You will support implementation of new multi-asset class risk management system.
  • You will produce insightful responses to Client inquiries.

Year one Success will be achieved by demonstrating the following:

Note: This position is for a 1-year fixed term, however, there is potential for a full-time permanent position on/before the conclusion of the term.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Actuarial Science, Financial Mathematics, Business/Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science), a Master’s degree would be considered an asset
  • Understanding of financial mathematics and statistics
  • Strong ability and desire to collaborate
  • Experience in investment or finance
  • Working knowledge of FactSet, Bloomberg, SQL, Matlab, Python or R would be an asset.
