Position Summary

AIMCo’s Private Equity team is seeking a student interested in analyzing Private Equity investment opportunities across a range of industries. The student will have the opportunity to evaluate new investment opportunities and help manage existing portfolio assets. Through these activities the student will learn how to evaluate Private Equity investments, and develop skills in financial analysis, valuation, and business strategy.

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Participate in the identification and evaluation of new investment opportunities, including direct investments and funds;
  • Conduct research and analysis on industries, sectors, funds, or other opportunities identified by Private Equity professionals;
  • Maintain and update portfolio company materials and track investment performance;
  • Maintain and update Private Equity databases; and,
  • Work with junior professionals to support ongoing daily activities.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or other related fields;
  • Demonstrated interest in investing and analyzing businesses in various industries;
  • Excellent knowledge of finance, accounting, and economic concepts;
  • Strong research, analytical, quantitative and problem solving abilities;
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines;
  • Proven track record of outstanding academic achievement and performance; and,
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
