Position Summary

AIMCo is currently seeking a creative, highly motivated and exceptionally well-organized Manager, Employee Engagement to work collaboratively with the Vice President, Human Resources in designing, developing and integrating people programs and strategies which align with AIMCo’s strategy, corporate culture and the ongoing progress towards building a world-class organization. Program examples include (Coaching; Reward & Recognition; Onboarding and Leadership Development). In addition, the Manager Employee Engagement will work closely with the Corporate Communications group on internal employee communication strategies and programs to ensure a consistent alignment to HR’s People Strategy.  

 

The successful candidate will seek out best practices, gather stakeholder feedback and gain senior leadership buy-in. The manager will also assess AIMCo’s current programs to ensure alignment and re-design as required.  

 

The overall goal of these programs is to empower employees and ensure positive and motivated behaviours that contribute to their development and overall retention of AIMCo’s greatest asset, their employees.  

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Possesses a degree in Business, Management, or related field or a combination of post secondary education and experience will be considered 
  • 5+ years working experience developing enterprise wide programs to enhance corporate culture, leadership and employee engagement
  • Functional experience and demonstrated success in strategy development and execution of large complex programs
  • Demonstrated experience with effective project management processes
  • The ability to build effective and trusting business relationships throughout the organization is essential to this position.
  • Experience working with senior level leadership 
  • High degree of professionalism and emotional intelligence 
  • Exhibit strong leadership and influencing skills
  • A strong history of meeting facilitation, internal communication, and collaboration with diverse groups
  • Proven attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities, along with the ability to adapt and problem solve
  • Creative and up to date on best people practices and emerging trends
  • Must be skilled in use of Microsoft Office
