Position Summary

AIMCo is currently seeking Performance & Analytics Professionals to join our team.

The Investment Performance and Analytics (IP&A) group is responsible for providing independent, insightful, accurate and timely performance, analytics and attribution information. The group calculates and explains validated performance, attribution, and analytics information across all investment strategies

The IP&A group is closely integrated with the front office to better understand investment strategies and provide them with an independent evaluation of investment performance and attribution. The group strives to inform and educate individuals throughout the organization of industry best practices and innovations.


Depending on the role, highlights of accountabilities may include:


  • Assembling and ensuring accuracy of portfolio, index, characteristics and analytics data.
  • Calculating, auditing, validating, reporting and explaining performance returns across for AIMCo’s multiple asset classes.
  • Using industry best practices to quantitatively and qualitatively measure and assess attribution for AIMCo’s multiple asset classes.
  • Researching industry practices and developing new performance capabilities.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Holds a degree or graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Mathematical Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a Quantitative field.
  • Is a proven self-starter and creative thinker with a record of delivering quantitative solutions.
  • Is able to keep composed under pressure and prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Has a strong understanding of financial markets, financial concepts, investment strategies, and investment products.
  • Has intermediate to professional level experience with Excel, R, SQL, VBA, and/or Python.
  • Knowledgable in investment performance and/or capital markets, including attribution.
  • Experienced in developing investment performance models including broad industry level models and internally built models.

Has experience in one or more of the following performance systems:

  • Sylvan
  • Opturo
  • Bisam
  • Ortek
  • Eagle 
  • SCD
