Position Summary

The Senior Analyst is the subject matter expert for performance and value-add analysis relating to both Public and Private asset classes. The role is responsible for all aspects of customer care and relationship building with our Fixed Income investment team. This involves performance, attribution, ad-hoc analytics client requests and discrepancy investigations.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Assembling and ensuring accuracy of portfolio, index, characteristics and analytics data for Fixed Income Analytics, Equity Analytics and Attribution reporting
  • Calculating, auditing, validating, reporting and reporting and explaining Analytics and Attribution reports to clients
  • Reviewing and approving daily performance and attribution reports prepared by the team
  • Reviewing analyst work, investigating performance and attribution issues and accountability for the resolution of anyproblems found
  • Providing expert level knowledge in performance measurement and performance attribution analysis across multiple asset classes
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 3+ years experience in a Performance Analyst role
  • Attained CIPM designation.
  • Attained CFA designation.
  • Experienced with Pension Funds, specifically Canadian Pension Funds.
  • Experienced with Fixed Income Attribution.
  • Multiple models including broad industry level models and internally built models.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and explain attribution numbers with minimal training.
  • Experienced or working knowledge of Equity Attribution
  • Multiple models including broad industry level models and internally built models.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, and explain attribution numbers with minimal training.
  • Has mid to professional level experience with R, SQL, VBA, and Python and Power BI.
  • Experienced with one or more of the following performance systems: Sylvan, Opturo, Bisam, Ortek, Eagle, and SCD.
  • Experienced with illiquid investments reporting.
  • Lead roles with implementing, consolidating performance systems.
  • University degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Computer Science or Finance.
