Position Summary

The Manager, Data Governance is a key strategic thinker and influencer with the ability to implement and improve on the existing investment data governance strategy. This individual uses analytical skills to drive insight into trends and relationships between complex data sets, which allows for data driven analysis as required by the Investment Data Governance Committee.

The Manager, Data Governance will lead a team of analysts in driving a data focused environment through analysis and continuous learning. This individual will be key in analyzing, developing and maintaining data quality, data definitions, data relationships, metadata standards, and governance metrics.


Additional Job Duties

  • Implement and maintain data governance strategy, policy, standards, and procedures. 
  • Oversee the definition and execution of data quality as well as steward services.
  • Define and monitor data quality and data flow.
  • Manage and document how multiple individuals or groups execute policies and standards to ensure data quality.
  • Responsible for the continuity of the program, resolving issues and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Measure, monitor and report on the data governance operating model.
  • Sponsor the program in the design and execution of data quality and process management.
  • Assist various groups in the organization to define data quality standards, processes and controls.

  • Able to influence stakeholders, data owners and stewards by identifying opportunities for improvement through strong analysis.
  • Possesses working knowledge of statistical and predictive models.
  • Experienced with creating ETL processes to source and link data.
  • Has a strong ability to utilize analytical applications in order to identify trends and relationships between different data sets, draw appropriate conclusions and translate findings into a clearly articulated report.
  • Can develop reports that help users understand data quality controls.
  • Demonstrates excellent written communication skills. 



  • Skilled R and Python
  • Data Mining Methods and Techniques
  • Experience with BPM
  • Has a working knowledge of AI and ML



  • Skilled in Business Intelligence. Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, Spotfire
  • ETL techniques
  • VBA, Java, C, C++, XML
  • Teradata Certified Master
  • DAMA certification
  • Certificate in data science
  • CFA
